BLS Instructor Course Requirements:

  1. Be accepted by your local AHA Training Center before enrolling in an Instructor Course and have a completed Instructor Candidate Application on file with that Training Center
  2. Have current AHA provider status in the discipline for that Instructor Course and be proficient in all the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include ACLS, BLS, PALS, PEARS and Heartsaver.
  3. Successfully complete the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course.
  4. Successfully be monitored teaching your first course within six months of completing the discipline-specific classroom Instructor Course. Training Center Coordinators can require additional monitoring.

Please Bring: 

Students are required to have a current ACLS Provider Manual (with insert cards) for the duration of the course.

PALS Description:

Designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Audience:

Prerequisites:

Current valid Healthcare Provider CPR card and a completed pre-course exam.

This item is the online portion of the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course when taken in a blended-learning format. Once students pass the included exam at the end of the online portion, they participate in a classroom-based training session featuring discussion, skills practice, and testing. Successful completion of both the online and classroom portions, including skills practice and testing with a certified American Heart Association ACLS Instructor, qualifies students for an ACLS provider course card. The online program includes eSimulations and other interactive activities, plus videos, virtual debriefings, and more. PC and Mac® compatible. Please include an e-mail address when ordering. Course Description:

The Heartsaver AED Course teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and infant CPR and relief of choking, and use of barrier devices for all ages.

Intended Audience:

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

The TNCC Provider Course is designed to provide core-level trauma knowledge and psychomotor skills associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient. The content is presented through lectures and 6 psychomotor skill stations.

The TNCC Course is intended for:

Registered Nurses with at least six months of clinical nursing experience in an emergency care setting. In addition, LPNs, LVNs, EMT-Ps and PAs may audit this course.
